Description
Ashes of Eden is a systems-driven survival and conflict game set on a fully spherical planet, where the planet itself is the primary actor. Its core mechanic is karma, but not as morality: karma is ecological consent, the planet's running opinion of the player. The world tracks what you take, where you take it from, and how you behave, and it answers in kind.
Two factions fight over that answer. The nature-aligned Ninshu draw power from alignment and permission; the industrial Gunners externalize power through machines and extraction. The game is not about good versus evil. It is about consequence, entropy, and perspective, and its endings are not chosen from a menu. They emerge from the accumulated state of the world the player helped create, or destroy.
Short description
A survival game on a fully spherical planet where karma is ecological consent, the world remembers everything you do, and the ending is computed from the world you leave behind.
Key features
- A truly spherical planet — one continuous world from ground level to orbit, no loading screens, no map edge.
- Karma as ecological consent — a living ledger of the player's relationship with the planet, not a morality meter.
- Two asymmetric philosophies — nature-aligned Ninshu versus industrial Gunners, each with distinct powers, combat, and survival rituals.
- A world that remembers — hexes across the planet hold state permanently, and damage and care both persist.
- Computed endings — how humanity and the planet separate emerges from accumulated world state, not a dialogue choice.
- Real weather and real days — volumetric clouds, storms, and a full day-night cycle, all simulated on the sphere.
